4.45 pm – 10000 metres B race
6.00 pm – 10000 metres A race
7.00 pm – 10000 metres – The Agency Group race
The Agency Group 10000m
Evan Cooper, who helped pace three juniors to World Cross Country qualifying times at last years agency 10000 has agreed to pace again for us. Provisionally he will be guiding people to a 32-minute finish. But we will confirm the exact time he targets after we hear what the qualifying marks will be for the World University Cross Country (Marrakech in March 2020) and World Juniors (Nairobi in July 2020). Like last year, we expect a big pack of juniors and local Wellington seniors to joining Evan’s train.
We also expect to name a 30-minute pacer for this race. Check back for more announcements.
The A 10000m race
Andrew Wharton will be pacing 35 minutes. Last year this was a popular target time and we expect a big pack again.
Matthew Bonner will pace a time somewhere between 37.00 and 38.30. The exact time will depend on what athletes request. So if you want a time in that range let us know.
Dom Godfrey and Shane O Rahilly will pace the 34-minute 'Get Ranked' pace group for men who want to run an Athletics NZ ranking time.
The B 10000m race
Richard Swan will pace 40 mins. Again, this was a popular time last year and we expect a big crowd following behind him trying to dip under 40.
We expect to announce more pacers in days to come – including 45 mins and 50 mins.
Nick Horspool and Lindsay Barwick will pace the 45-minute pack.
Ironman Peter Paul Murmu will pace a 50-minute pack.
If you have any other time that you would like us to find a pacer for let us know - if there are several who all want the same or similar time we will try to support you with good pacing.
Selection of The Agency Group 10000 metres field will be based on goal times
On line entries close at midday on Wednesday 6 November
